The collection consists of three issues of "The Canvas" the monthly publication of the Art League of Harrisburg, December, 1941; January and February, 1942.

Background

The Art League of Harrisburg was organized late in 1941. It's members were people from all walks of life who had a sincere interest in art, whether they were active in painting or not. Various exhibitions and activities were held. The director was Robert Weldy Baer; the business address was 307 North Second Street, Harrisburg.
